Sri Mookambika Devi Temple is one of the Seven Mukthi Sthala’s of Karnataka.

At a distance of about 80 km from Udupi is a small quaint town called Kollur which houses the famous Mookambika Devi temple, It it is one of the Seven Mukthi Sthala of Karnataka. Situated at the banks of the perennial river Souparnika, This temple is decorated with gold plated crest and copper roofs. Thousands of worshippers from different places to visit this temple.

Goddess Sri Mookambika Devi is worshipped in the form of Jyotir-lingam. According to SkandaPurana, she is the unification of both Shiva and Shakti. She is the symbol of strength, knowledge, power and courage. She is the manifestation of Parvathi, Saraswathi and Mahalaxmi.
